Today (Saturday March 23rd) saw the 4th in Kathy's series of Rag Rug making workshops held at the KoolKat studio. As you can see from the photos below, this was another industrious group busily tearing sheets into strips so that they can be woven into rugs. A 5th workshop is planned in the studio later in the year.
Kathy will also be giving the same workshop at Patticake Patchwork in Millmerran on Saturday April 27, and she has also been visiting community organisations such as nursing homes in the Toowoomba region presenting this workshop.

Next month we will be at Esk Quilt Show (April 6-7) and Quilters Rest Open Day, Kingaroy (April 13) with our stall, and Kathy will also be demonstrating the rag rug making technique at both venues. Kathy will shortly be introducing a bag making technique in a series of workshops. Some of you may have seen Kathy's pattern "All Wrapped Up" at the Indigo Niche stand at this weekend's Stitches and Craft in Brisbane. This will be the method that will provide the theme of the next workshop series.
