Fifth step

This weekend we completed the fifth step.  We calculate a dozen to go, equalling 2.0m rise in vertical height over a lineal distance of around 7 metres .  The steps are 1.5m wide in front, and set back either 1.2m or 0.6m - 2 step and single step respectively.   We use 3m Koppers round backs, which are then sawn in half.  Each piece stands 170mm high, so we are inching our way up the slope...
