Kathy at Coastal Crafters Carnival

Kathy was one of the guest speakers at the Coastal Crafters Carnival at Toogoom, Hervey Bay, Queensland yesterday.  Toogoom is 4.5 hours from Toowoomba - we drove up to Howard the afternoon before, stayed at the local caravan park, and enjoyed a fish and chips meal at the Grand Hotel that evening. More than 300 attended with the proceeds benefiting Project Linus, a charity that provides quilts for child cancer victims in hospitals.  It was a great day and Kathy came back with a hand-made teddy bear and a frog and Geoff added to his condiments collecton with a locally-made Worcestershire sauce and a chilli sauce.   This was the second biannual holding of the carnival and it looks to have become firmly established in the regional quilting calendar.
